Jackfish Sign Purple Eagle Marchese for 2025

The big man heads to The Pond 

WELLAND - Niagara's Greatest Show, the Welland Jackfish, announced today that they have agreed to terms with infielder, Josh Marchese for the upcoming 2025 season.

The Burnaby, BC native joins the fish following five years at Niagara University. During his time with the Purple Eagles, he would record a career .228 average with 12 doubles, 1 triple and 21 home runs for 77 RBI.

Josh’s best season came in 2023 where he recorded 6 doubles, 7 home runs and 22 RBI in 35 games played.

Josh also suited up for the Cowlitz Black Bears and Nanaimo NightOwls of the West Coast League where he recorded a .245 average with 11 doubles, 5 home runs and 36 RBI over two seasons of play.
